FCO scholarships

The UK's prestigious Chevening Programme provides scholarships for postgraduate studies and research in the UK.

The British Council administers scholarship schemes on behalf of the FCO and co-sponsors. These scholarships are available for Israeli nationals to undertake postgraduate study and research in the UK for 3 to 12 months. Scholarships fully or partially cover academic fees, living expenses and return economy airfare. All fields of study will be considered, but priority will be given to subject areas related to politics and government, conflict prevention, economic and regional development, law and human rights, environment, media, business and economics, information technology and applied science.

The British Chevening Awards
Chevening awards are offered by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) to Israeli nationals for postgraduate study in the UK for 3 to 12 months. All fields of study will be considered, but priority will be given to subject areas related to politics and government, conflict prevention, economic and regional development, law and human rights, environment, media, business and economics, information technology and applied science. Awards can be for any period from three to twelve months.

The Lord Goodman - Chevening Scholarships for Research or Study in the Environment
In honour of the distinguished lawyer and public figure Lord Goodman, the British Foreign & Commonwealth Office (FCO) and the Balfour Diamond Jubilee Trust offer one scholarship to an outstanding Israeli postgraduate for research or study in the field of environment in the UK.

Leonard Sainer - Chevening Scholarship
The British Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Leonard Sainer Legal Education Foundation in London offer an annual award enabling the recipient to undertake the one-year LLM degree course at University College London.

Chevening - UCL Israel Alumni - Chaim Herzog Award
The British Foreign & Commonwealth Office and the UCL Israel Alumni and offer an annual award in memory of the late President Chaim Herzog. The award will enable the recipient to undertake a Masters Programme at University College London starting September 2004. Preference will be given to subject areas related to public policy, economics or history.
