Richard Salt, Director of UK Trade & Investment in Israel, hosting a festive dinner for UK delegates to Biomed 2009

Representatives from 10 British companies visited Israel for the the Biomed 2009 exhibition and conference. The delegation, accompanied by Senior Trade Advisor Yigal Levine of UK Trade & Investment at the British Embassy, met with representatives from Israeli biotechnology and healthcare companies. The British and Israeli companies were seeking opportunities for co-operation.

Richard Salt, Director of UK Trade & Investment in Israel, hosted a festive dinner for the UK delegation at his residence in Herzliya Pituach. This event was attended by colleagues from the British Embassy and a large number of representatives from local biotech and healthcare companies.

The British delegation, headed by Mr Tony Brown from Nexus Corporate Finance Ltd (a leading independent corporate finance consultancy) included specialists in the areas of legal consultancy, business development, and finance, as well as representatives from bio-medical companies and the British NHS (National Health Service).

This is not the first time that a UK delegation has attended the Israeli Biomed exhibition - Israel is considered by British companies to be an attractive destination in the life science field, and Israeli companies use their cooperation with British companies to enter the European market.
