British Ambassador to Israel Tom Phillips, Director of UK Trade and Investment Israel Richard Salt and General Manager of bmi Israel, Sebastian Wainsztein, were among the guests at this year's Israel-British Chamber of Commerce annual gala dinner.
The guest of honour at tonight's event was Nigel Turner, CEO of bmi, who made a "flying" visit to Israel, during which it was announced that the British airline would increase the frequency of their flights to Israel.
During the course of the evening a special "Importer of the Year" award was made to Hacarem Society, in recognition of their contribution to mutual trade between the UK an Israel. Hacarem is a major importer of Scotch whisky, in addition to other alcoholic beverages.
