Trade Visits
Our Trade and Investment Advisors maintain a regular programme of company visits. These are designed to assess the opportunity to increase Britain's market share in Israel; to recommend to British exporters suitable and effective representation in Israel; to find Israeli partners for UK companies seeking to form collaborative partnerships or invest in Israel; and to make early contact with Israeli companies wishing to invest in the UK. Where relevant, the results of these visits are then transmitted to UKTI for publication in the UK.
Trade and Investment advisors are always willing to meet visiting British business people to provide general or specific advice on doing business in Israel.
EU Funded Business Opportunities for British Companies
The EU has developed a substantial financial package for development assistance to countries in the Middle East. These funds constitute a potentially large source of direct business for British companies through contracts for services, supplies and works. We and our colleagues at UKTI can help British companies take advantage of these commercial opportunities.
If you would like more information about these opportunities and information on the UK Permanent Representation to the EU then please click here.
Science Networking Development Scheme (SNDS)
The UK and Israel have established a joint scheme to encourage co-operation between practising scientists in both countries who are already engaged in nationally funded projects. SNDS covers travel and subsistence costs for missions, workshops and conferences, dealing with science research topics to which both governments attach priority.

Israel-Britain trade organisations
The Israel Britain Business Council (IBBC) was established by Prime Ministers John Major and the late Yitzchak Rabin in 1995. Through the involvement of leading entrepreneurs, it aims to accelerate the growth of two-way trade by turning opportunities into real business propositions, promoting joint ventures, continuing to foster close relations, bringing economic growth to the region and thus contributing to the Peace Process. There are four established working groups: Finance, Health, Hi Tech/R & D and Infrastructure.
The Britain Israel Chamber of Commerce (BICC), a membership organisation, helps foster commercial links and promotes bilateral trade. It can supply information on business opportunities, has a first-class knowledge of the market, and has up-to-date information on exhibitions and trade fairs. The Chamber organises a programme of trade seminars and clinics, annual business lunches and dinners, as well as conferences, missions and a newly revamped journal. The Chamber aims to service its members' needs by providing networking opportunities and offering an innovative range of activities.
