Our Embassy

The aim of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office is to promote the interests of the United Kingdom internationally and to contribute to a strong world community. 

At the Embassy, we aim to promote stability in the Middle East, by reducing the tension and levels of violence between the Israelis and the Palestinians and engaging the sides in negotiations. 

The Consular Section aims to provide effective help for British nationals abroad. Our responsibilities include registering births and deaths, providing legal paperwork in marriage cases, passport matters, notary service and consular protection for British nationals.

The Visa Section in Tel Aviv is the first point in the visa application process. The UK Border Agency and the British Embassy Tel Aviv work in partnership with WorldBridge. You can find out whether you need a visa and how to apply through the WorldBridge website. 

On the commercial side, United Kingdom Trade and Investment (UKTI) aims to enhance the economic relationship between the UK and Israel. UKTI's role is to stimulate and build on the Israel-UK trading relationship by providing guidance, advice, and assistance to companies. We also attach great importance to encouraging Israeli firms to realise the potential of the City of London as a major financial centre and to consider setting up business in the UK.

The Embassy's Press Office & Public Affairs Section provides information about the UK and Government policies to the media and to the general public.

Our Science & Innovation Officer aims to promote scientific co-operation between the UK and Israel. The British Council fosters cultural and educational links between our countries, running active arts and government schemes and hosting numerous cultural events.
